fun in the sun
materials: plastic, acrylic paint, acrylic, resin, metal
process: Big Wheel Tricycle hand sliced laid out on hand cut layered acrylic sheets. Black acrylic paint fully encasing cut acrylic sheet. Epoxy resin is than layered on in intervals of 8 hours to create a dripping forms. Every 10 hours the resin is heated with a butane torch to create spotting and smooth liquid puddle texture. Form is than fully encased in epoxy resin. A layer of red acrylic paint is laid surrounding the base and than epoxy resin. Once first layer of resin is cured, a second layer mixture of red acrylic paint and epoxy resin is applied. Finally the form is fully encased in a uniform final layer of epoxy resin.

Air Force 1's
materials: Nike Air Force 1’s, Epoxy Resin, Steel rod, Steel Plate, Steel screws, Steel wire, Wood
Proces
process: wood is carved and sanded into the front portion of a shoe horn. Steel rod is curved and welded onto a 2”x3” steel plate and attached to carved wooden point to create a shoehorn. 3 pilot holes are drilled into steel plate. Shoe horn is than placed inside the shoe and screwed in creating a bend. Shoes are than tied together and hung on a pole while thin layers of epoxy resin is applied until the form is fully encased. New thin layer of epoxy resin is applied every 8 hours. Until droplets are formed under the sole of the shoes. Laces are soaked in resin incrementally every 10 hours, after each portion is applied the lace is bent to a new angle until fully encased. Final layer of resin is applied to the shoes to fully encase the form uniformly.

materials: epoxy resin, subway sandwich
process: All innards of sandwich are removed and sun dried for 30 minutes. Tomatoes, meat, & cheese are are laid out in individual rows. Once in form they are fully encased in resin. The bread is than propped open and encased in two thin layers of epoxy resin. After curing, the tomatoes, meat, and cheese are stacked inside the bread and resin is applied as a glue and spacer to create depth.

Moon Shoe's
materials: Moon Shoe’s, Epoxy Resin, Steel wire
Proces
process: Moon Shoe’s exterior are sanded down to create a light texture for grip. Shoes are than tied together and hung on a pole while thin layers of epoxy resin is applied until the form is fully encased. New thin layer of epoxy resin is applied every 8 hours. Until droplets are formed under the sole of the shoes. Every 6 hours a butane torch is used to eliminate air bubbles and pooling of resin to create a wet look. Final layer of resin is applied to the shoes to fully encase the form uniformly.

process: fictional bone structure is designed based on food form of a burger based on similar animal forms. Which is than 3D modeled in MAYA and 3D printed in a resin plastic. Hollow burger toy is carved in half and stuffed with burger bun and burger beef. Once inserted the 3D printed bone structure is placed within the food stuffed in the hollow toy. Once placed, the exposed portion of the hollow toy with food is encased and preserved with a light layer of epoxy resin .

Hollow donut toy is carved in half and stuffed with a doughnut. Once inserted the 3D printed bone structure is placed within the food stuffed in the hollow toy. Once placed, the exposed portion of the hollow toy with food is encased and preserved with a light layer of epoxy resin .

i scream for icecream

process: fictional bone structure is designed based on food form of a ice cream cone based on similar animal forms. Which is than 3D modeled in MAYA and 3D printed in a resin plastic. Hollow ice cream toy is carved in half and stuffed with mashed potatoes mixed with food coloring to replicate ice cream. Once inserted the 3D printed bone structure is placed within the food stuffed in the hollow toy. Once placed, the exposed portion of the hollow toy with food is encased and preserved with a light layer of epoxy resin . Steel rod is cut and welded together to create a resting armature.

Hollow hotdog toy is carved in half and stuffed with hotdog bun and hot dog meat. Once inserted the 3D printed bone structure is placed within the food stuffed in the hollow toy. Once placed, the exposed portion of the hollow toy with food is encased and preserved with a light layer of epoxy resin .

materials: cement, chicken wire, rebar, marble, resin plastic
process: miniature missile 3D modeled in MAYA and 3D printed. Rebar is cut and welded into a box frame as chicken wire is TIG welded onto frame and wrapped around. Cement is than applied to the form creating box structure. Marble is cut to a 2”x2” square base with the miniature missile is attached.
